stressless solitude

In one final attempt to counteract all the obesity I've been consuming these past few months, I spent this past weekend hiking for at least 5 hours on Saturday and Sunday. I didn't know that a whole entire mountain range existed in my own backyard until I started hiking, because usually I can only see one big mountain towering over my area. But it turns out that behind that mountain, there's a whole semi-circle of hikable hilltops just ready to be conquered! On the second day, I brought my camera and spent every 5 seconds snapping pictures of everything... seriously, nature always amazes me and reminds me of all the beautiful things God has created! =)

On my journey, I encountered a few flighty butterflies, some gigantic wasps, foggy city scenes that made Hong Kong look like miniature world, little forest clearings that reminded me of the SHIRE and Rivendell (the Lord of the Rings obsession continues...), and large groups of jolly old people all hiking happily with their mountain gear and walking sticks (cute!!!). Seriously, the age demographic I saw on the mountain was mostly 60+. I talked to one old man and he said he's been hiking on this trail for years. I also wanted his mustard yellow cardigan and was tempted to ask him for it. HAHA.

Anyway, enough blabbing... here are some pictures from my little adventure for your viewing pleasure...

... after 4 hours of hiking... I was tired, sweaty, and needed a face-lift, but super excited in the moment! I think if I do this hiking gig more often, a healthy lifestyle might actually be possible.

moustache mania

I was looking through old files today and I realized that "the moustache" has somehow stealthily crept into many of my previous artistic endeavors...

like this old cartoon here...

... and this bag...

...and this t-shirt...

...even my BUNNY has a moustache!

ANYWAY...

today I made a black leather moustache pin...
...because everything always looks better with a thick bushy stache.
...right Gingy?
...it also doubles as a toupee.
...even furry pink jellyfish enjoy moustaches.
...of course, moustaches go with all different kinds of accessories...
...such as 3D glasses...
...and for a finishing touch, big bushy eyebrows + no sense of shame.
epic.
