Beautiful Things Cover

This is just a little video for my church back home.
It's a simple cover of Beautiful Things.

The little notes/annotations in the video don't show up properly unless you watch it on Youtube, so I included the lyrics below!

All this pain
I wonder if I'll ever find my way
I wonder if my life could really change at all

All this earth
Could all that is lost ever be found
Could a garden come up from this ground at all

You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of the dust
You make beautiful things
You make beautiful things out of us

All around
Hope is springing up from this old ground
Out of chaos life is being found
in You

Chorus

gungor concert!

Went to the Gungor concert tonight - best live show ever. It was actually Michael Gungor by himself, without his wife or the rest of his band, but he did an amazing one-man show with loop pedals and some crazy guitar skills.

Here are some pictures from the event. We were right in the very front row so we got up close and personal... haha (creepy)...

I took some videos that you can see here: ("Heaven" & "Doxology"), but they really don't do his live performance justice. Seriously, God has given this guy so much musical talent and his music inspires me to worship and sing more =)

my soul cries out for you

I'm going to see GUNGOR tonight @ The Vine. SO EXCITED.

I love this rendition HERE of "The Earth is Yours" where they just sit on a log in the middle of a forest, make music with branches, and randomly have a jam session. haha.

And HERE is a more "acoustic" version of their song "Dry Bones" featuring Kevin Olusula from Pentatonix.

Man. If only I could play the cello and beatbox. amazing.

music inspiration: Gungor

Lately, I've been listening to the musical group GUNGOR, a husband + wife collaboration with a unique eclectic style that I can't really define with any particular genre. They're super inspiring and definitely live up to their Grammy-nominated status.

Probably their most well-known song, and one of my favourites, is Beautiful Things.

They've also got a blog with some pretty interesting topics - like this post HERE for instance, about art and perspective in life. Go read it. I think it's very well-written and insightful.

Anyway, what's exciting is that they're actually coming to Hong Kong this month!!! So I think I'll get to see them in concert! SO. EXCITED.

Click HERE for an awesome live version of Beautiful Things.
